Weekday Dish

Im super tired tonight-too many nights up late (last night was 1:30 and then I had to get up at 7am to get Grace off to school. I am so productive (work wise) when everyone has gone to bed. The mornings..not so much.

I really like my new job!

The food:
Breakfast-
1 diet coke, water
1oz cheese
one bite of the banana I put in Graces Peanut butter sandwich.

Lunch-
1.5 oz cheese, 3 crackers

water
diet coke
Dinner-
1 salmon patty

Later
1 yogurt
Later
3 home-made steel cut oats with dried apricot cookies (got the recipe off a blog)

the cookies sound good but I can't do any dried fruits anymore.
Raisins, other fruits, gummy worms. Get stuck bad!!!

Steel cut oats always sound so tought to me...what are they??? Well done on the menu!!!

Jen-i have trouble with them out of the bag-but for some reason I can eat them again if I cut them up and then chew. They went down OK in the cookies.

The steel cut oats cooked up into oatmeal are much better than rolled or quick ones. I hated oatmeal pre-band. It was always so slimy. When I make it with steel cut oats it takes longer to cook but is creamy and not slimy.

They are all we have in the house now but I think they messed with the cookie recipe. I guess rolled and steel cut oats do not have the same volume or something as the recipe didn't work very well.-still tasty though :)
