Not Doing So Well-

I am either getting old or sick or something.

I know I have been busy with work and moving and hauling boxes but I have been waking up in pain for the last couple of weeks. My legs get crampy and pain shoots up them. My shoulders hurt and my back. I also have some sort of a weird rash on my back that comes and goes.

In addition, David and I have not been getting along-sort of depressingly as a matter of fact. I am beginning to think that the old saying that people move or have a baby when their marriage is going bad isn't really the case. It is the move itself (or the baby-only I am skipping the baby part and sticking with the move) that causes the thing.

I have no idea if any of this is band related, life related or just a funk but I guess it is time to have a visit with a doctor and psychiatrist (or psychologist). I have a friend at work who recommended her doctor but apparently she is a church related person (and church and I are not the mixing kind). I think my band surgeon works with people in his office. I guess it won't hurt to talk to someone who at least has experience with weight-loss related emotional changes even if this isn't really related.

I'm sorry Tina...but at the same time moving is one of the toughest psychological stressors...give your time to get over all the stress associated with the sale/purchase of your homes...I appreciate you.

Sounds like you're having a tough time Tina. Moving house is horribly stressful - not just the practical issues but moving house in your mind too - I wouldn't mind betting your present poor health has got everything to do with it. Once you sort yourself out physically it'll be so much easier to deal with the emotional issues, don't you think?

When I get super stressed about something I tend to get run down and everything seems to suffer too - including my perception :( I hope this is just a funk and you get through it soon xx

I'm sorry, but glad to hear you're going to reach out for help. You're a smart cookie to do it. Hang in there in the meantime and things will get sorted out. Use your blog(if it is safe to do) to try to express what feelings are going through your head. Or Journal....sometimes it helps to write it out.

I'm sorry to hear you're not feeling great. I'm dealing with something similar and without going into detail, I just wanted you to know I can relate. I'm trying to keep my mind busy with music and anything else I can think of. Doesn't always work but I'm determined to push through it. Just wanted to let you know I'm sending you positive vibes to feel better soon!

You've had a lot on your plate lately. Maybe your body is giving you signs to take some time for yourself. The doctor could be a good starting point just to rule out any physical issues. I know for me talking to people also helps (a problem shared a problem halved etc). Hope things get better for you soon. Big hugs!

Sorry you are feeling badly! I hate when I have a perfect storm of being hurtie inside and out. Some of what you said will go away with time, others you'll have to work at, but I am sure you will.

xx

so yeah.. moving is one of the 5 (I think) most stressful things in the world - so give yourself a break about that at least.

I'm sorry you're not feeling well and that your marriage is in a rough patch (I'm right there with you on that one) but I'm so proud of you for reaching out and looking for a little help for yourself - good for you!!
