What the heck is the deal with booze and my stomach eh?

Does anyone else have trouble with alcohol? is it me? is it my band (cause I like to blame everything on that you know). I have managed to drink two peppermint patties over the last few weeks (hot chocolate and peppermint schnapps is SO Good). but last night I brought a bottle of wine to my friends and drank 1/2 ok most of the bottle. It was a bottle of sparkling. I didn't snack or eat anything just drank. When the bottle ran out I had a small (ok two) chocolate egg things. They were melty and still got stuck (what is the deal). I had pain and had to visit the oval office. Yup..new name for it. Arghghg..I just want to get a little drunk once in a while :(.

Unfortunately, alcohol goes down just fine for me!!! even seems to loosen things up if I eat after I have had a glass or two.

Maybe the carbonation irritated things??

I cannot do ANYTHING carbonated, even moscato. Heartbreaking, isn't it? Sorry you had the bad experience, but maybe just stick with the flat wine from now on.

No problem at all with wine. Maybe the sparkles stayed in the lower stomach like a balloon. And I can certainly polish off a bootle but try to keep it to a couple of glasses. Now if you believe that...

Booze used to do that..but for some reason lately (even though I could for ages with no ill effects my system has changed and booze of all sorts has become problematic.

On a good note I am extra tight today so perhaps the creeping weight will start creeping the other direction.

shhessh..i could include a complete thought in my commenting. booze used to loosen me up and I could eat more. now..I guess not. I have done bubbles and no bubbles. I quit having a vodka and orange juice already. I thought it was food on top of booze that had become the problem but I don't consider chocolate as a food so...who knows?

could be bubbles with chocolate, could be bubbles with booze..I don't know.

Alcohol goes down perfectly for me, I wish I got sick over it sometimes!

I don't remember having any issues with alcohol, although I don't drink it very often as the thought of having to entertain a toddler with a hangover is enough to put me off!

You poor thing! I have no problem with booze, in fact, if I could live off of it, I'd do just fine, it's one of the few things I never have trouble with!
